11:37 am - New Bizarre
|
The new issue of Bizarre is out now!
Featuring Jane Doe cover & feature, its quite different to my usual stuff as its all Steampunk-ified. Theres a lot of leather in there too.
The outfit on the cover is a latex red & black striped zip front shirt, latex knickers and a custom leather belt with removable red side pockets.
All the hair was done by Ceri @ Snarl Hair www.snarlhair.com There's an amazing mohawk in the mag and i know everyone is going to want one! ;)
Keep youre eyes peeled as there will be a lot of new items and photoshoots out very soon!

Hrmmm, so it seems this crappy rip off i mentioned in my last post is not alone!
They are a German company called 'Burlesque Couture' http://www.burlesque-couture.de and i am certainly not the only one they have ripped off!
Also they get their items made in China - good luck getting a nice fit and cut out of that!
So anyway, it seems they have stopped bidding on the auction so thats something, hopefully they have been spooked enough to not attempt to put it on their site!

Ok, here's another one for you, as the last one went down rather well! :)
All the new outfits will be up on the website soon as i get a spare hour or so to get it done!
Got my second Jane Doe tattoo the other week as well, its the evil queen character that ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) _hellexa_ Rachael Huntington drew of the first show's costume. Its massive and takes up the full length of my calf, ill post pictures when she is finished!
Well if nothing else having Jane Doe has given me plenty of tattoo material - lol

I'm afraid i have kinda joined the exodus to Facebook, and do update there much more frequently!

So this month sees Jane Doe being featured in 3 magazines!!
A cover & feature in Bizarre (I also wrote a little piece in the'proud to be different' section and still sponser the Ultra Vixens - each month's winner recieves an eyepatch and pasties!), a feature in Devolution and one in Black Meringue.

I am getting really fed up with rip-offs at the moment.
To me there is nothing worse than ripping someone off, copying designs and selling things off as your own when they are not!
I am always on the look out for copies, not only of my own work but of others. I feel that as such a small community we have an obligation to look out for one another. But apparently not everyone feels this way.
In the last month i have found two companies who now sell a 'Bow Belt'. I own the copyright to this item, and i have been making them since 2005. Now i know i am not the first to make a bow or a belt, but that design is MINE. There were no others in latex before i started making them.
I have lawyers and have informed them about both companies, but of course these things take time. Im just so saddened that it has to come to this. It's especially awful as one of the companies i used to work for.
All i can say is please be aware of what you are buying, support the real designers and the people who are doing the hard work! A cheap knock off may seem like a good idea to save some pennies but in the long run it only hurts the whole industry.
And please, please let me know if you ever see a Bow Belt for sale anywhere! I'll happily sue their asses as well!!!

Hello LJ land!!
So i know i've been rather quiet recently, but been overwhelmed with wholesale orders! And good news, Jane Doe is now stocked at Fetish Factory in Florida!
Also look out for the next issue of Bizarre Magazine (out June 10th) as Jane Doe features on the cover and theres a 6 page spread inside with custom Jane Doe Roller Derby costumes! Funnily enough I got roped into being in the shoot as well.
Keep your eyes peeled for lots more collaborations with the excellent Bizarre Magazine in the coming months ;)
Not really doing any shows this year, concentrating on couture pieces for shoots instead, so you'll see the results in the near future.
That's about it really! There will be some new items added to the shop soon as well.
